Burnham Beeches Dog Walkers – are you aware of these proposed restrictions on dog walking?

I received this e-mail from the KC this week about a threat to restrict the rights of dog walkers locally, in Burnham Beeches:

BurnhamThe Kennel Club has been busy fighting the City of London Corporation and their plans to introduce overly restrictive dog control orders on Burnham Beeches in Buckinghamshire.

The consultation will be launched in early June and will be proposing unnecessarily restrictive orders that are disproportionate to the local issues. For example, one of the proposals looks to ban dog owners from 59% of the woodland. This attitude towards dog access is of great concern for Burnham Beeches dog walkers, but also to other dog owners who visit City of London areas, including Epping Forest, Ashtead Common and Hampstead Heath.

Click here to read an article in Your Dog where Kennel Club access consultant, Stephen Jenkinson, has written about the issue in more detail.

This is a serious concern for the Kennel Club and for all dog owners visiting City of London areas. Please help us and your fellow dog owners fight these unjustifiable proposed dog control orders.

Yours sincerely,

KC Dog Team
